This is a picture of Friedrich Gottfried Alfred
Jahn Wassmann. He was the father of Papa Jahn, and the first Jahn
born in Venezuela. This picture was taken in Hannover in
1866 on the day of his wedding with Louise
Eugenie Hartmann. (He was 21 at the time) Because of the problems with his
German name in Venezuela, he changed his name to Alfredo Federico,
which is also the name he gave his son, Papa Jahn.

This image was copied from a history book
by my father. Not sure of all the details. Friedrich Ludwig Jahn
was a famous German, born August 11, 1778, died October 15, 1852.
It is believed that Papa Jahn is a desendant of his. My uncle
Leopoldo is currently researching the facts.
